  • World Oceans Day: Free Yoga, Beach Clean Up & Microplastics Talkshop

    Monday June 8th - 9:30am

Celebrate World Oceans Day with Island Healing for a free community event focused on movement, connection, ocean care, and education.

We’ll begin the morning with a gentle, all-levels yoga session to ground the body, calm the mind, and connect with the natural environment around us. If yoga isn’t your thing, you’re still very welcome to join — simply meet us at Island Healing at 10:30am, and we’ll walk down to the beach together for the clean up.

Together, we’ll take part in a community beach clean up, helping remove litter from our local coastline and protect the ocean, marine life, and the beautiful place we call home.

After the clean up, we’ll return to Island Healing for a relaxed and informative talkshop on microplastics. We’ll explore what microplastics are, where they come from, how they’re impacting our environment, and what current research is revealing about their potential effects on human health. You’ll also learn simple, practical ways to reduce plastic exposure and make more conscious everyday choices.

This is a free event open to the community — come for the yoga, the clean up, the talkshop, or all three.

    Sunday 21st June | 2pm – 4pm

  • Winter Solstice Yin & Sound

An evening to honour the longest night

    Sunday June 2st 5:30pm

There's a reason winter asks us to slow down. As the days grow shorter and the air turns crisp, nature draws inward — and so can we. The Winter Solstice marks the longest night of the year, a powerful turning point where darkness gives way to the slow return of light. It's an invitation to pause, reflect, and gently let go of what we've been carrying.

At Island Healing, we're holding space for this seasonal shift with an evening designed to nourish your body, quiet your mind, and reconnect you with your own inner stillness.

    What's Included

    🧘‍♀️ Yin Yoga

A slow, meditative practice of long-held floor-based postures that work deep into the connective tissues, fascia, and joints. Yin invites the body to soften, release stored tension, and create space for stillness — the perfect counterbalance to the busyness of modern life.

Not into Yin? No problem. If yoga isn't your thing, you're warmly invited to skip the movement portion and arrive in time for the sound immersion. This evening is about your rest, on your terms.

    🎶 Sound Immersion

As you settle into deep rest, you'll be guided through an immersive sound journey featuring crystal singing bowls attuned to the 7 chakras. Each tone gently washes through the body, supporting nervous system regulation, emotional release, and a profound sense of calm. Many describe it as feeling like a 'reset' for the body and mind.

    🕯️ A Sacred Atmosphere

The studio will be transformed into a warm, candlelit sanctuary — cosy blankets, soft lighting, and a grounded, welcoming space to truly let go.

    🌱 Intention Setting

Before we close, we'll take a quiet moment to reflect on what you're ready to release with the old season, and what you'd like to invite in as the light returns.

    Who It's For

This event is for anyone craving stillness, rest, and a deeper connection to themselves and the rhythms of the natural world. No yoga experience is needed — and if Yin isn't for you, you're welcome to join us for the sound immersion only. Whether you're navigating a busy season, processing change, or simply seeking a moment of peace, you'll be warmly welcomed.

    What to Bring

    - Comfortable, warm clothing (layers are encouraged)

    - A water bottle

    - An open mind and a willingness to rest

Yoga mats, bolsters, blankets are all provided.

  • A Place To Belong: Community Women's Circle

    Monthly Free Womens Community Circle

A Place to Belong: Women's Community Circle

In a world that often leaves us feeling isolated, scattered, and unheard—there's power in coming together.

    You're not alone in feeling:

    - Disconnected despite being constantly "connected"

    - Like you're carrying invisible burdens no one understands

    - Hungry for authentic conversation beyond small talk

    - Tired of wearing masks that hide who you really are

    - Longing for a space where your voice truly matters

    Here's what we believe:

Every woman has a story that deserves to be heard. When we share our experiences—the messy, beautiful, complicated truth of being human—something profound happens. The shame that keeps us small begins to lose its grip. The stories we thought made us broken become the very threads that connect us.

    Why these circles matter:

In a culture that profits from our isolation, gathering with intention is a radical act. When women share space and stories, we remember our strength. We learn that we are not alone. We share wisdom with other women who need it. We realise that what we thought was our weakness is often our greatest source of wisdom. We discover that healing happens not in hiding, but in being witnessed.

    What to expect:

A monthly gathering of women from all walks of life, creating a brave space for authentic sharing, deep listening, and genuine connection. No advice-giving, no fixing—just the transformative power of being truly seen and heard.

Some circles may carry a theme, for example grief, relationships, etc

Free. Confidential. Open to all women.

Because your story matters. Because connection heals. Because together, we rise.

*Bookings are preferred but not required
